After a long hard winter we can hopefully look forward to some warmer weather as Spring is finally here!

The Easter Holiday coaching will be underway as you receive this newsletter and to those of you who have participated, we hope you enjoyed the fun and games and hopefully improved on your tennis!

We have also enclosed the new Summer Term Programme which commences on the 19th April.  Please get your applications forms back promptly to ensure your place.

Results

This season many of the Charters Junior Tennis teams remain unbeaten in the Berkshire Winter Junior Leagues.

Well done to all the  U12, U14 and U18 boys teams.   A great achievement!

As we write this newsletter George Irwin has beaten the no 6 seed from Germany to qualify for a Tennis Europe event. The Tennis Europe Junior Tour has heralded the arrival of such top players as Justine Henin, Roger Federer, Andy Murray and Maria Sharapova, to name but a few.   Well done  George and all the best in this tournament.

Modern Tennis

Modern Tennis is a new innovative style of delivery and is proving popular within grass root tennis coaches.

All our coaches are now trained to deliver this technique which is ideal for discovered learning and allowing the pupils to improve at their own pace.  Come along to one of our coaching courses for a new and enjoyable style of learning!

LTA Tutor

Simon Grassi is now a qualified LTA tutor.  After two years field training and a course delivered by senior LTA coaches, Simon can now deliver level 1 & 2 LTA courses to players and volunteers who would like to become registered tennis coaches.
